All are invited on Tuesday, February 5th at 6 PM to Gallery Havelka in Prague 1 where Alena Foustková will open her exhibition 'Postcards from the Czech Republic'.

The exhibition presents a yearlong project by AAU Lecturer and artist, Alena Foustová in which she made 365 double-sided conceptual postcards, one for each day of 2018. Through the unconventional method of a visual journal the artist poetically and analytically reflects on political events, the mentality of the nation and bilateral and transnational relations, including the (im)possibilities of cultivating them.

All are welcome to visit her exhibition at Gallery Havelka Curated by Tereza Havlovicová and Vendula Fremlová. obrázek

Each postcard is an original which is available for a special price of 1000 CzK. With each purchase of a postcard format of approximately 15×12 cm, you will receive a certificate of authorship. Each and every purchase makes you a supporter of the artist´s monography in the making.

Select the one you like or the one which will remind you of 2018, the one-hundred-year anniversary of the Czech Republic, or perhaps the date of your birthday. Select an original gift for the birthday of someone you cherish. Select from 365 originals – the sooner you come to see the exhibition, the more choices you will have.
