Student Radio
Sound Bricks is a radio station run by AAU students, originating from our campus in Prague, Czech Republic, and broadcasting worldwide at www.soundbricks.net.
About Sounds Bricks
Sound Bricks is an experiential way for you to learn about radio production and audio engineering in the age of Spotify and streaming. Our radio station on campus is outfitted with industry-standard equipment and professional software providing a truly hands-on experience.
All programming is produced independently by students, volunteers and faculty, and the content of each program is the responsibility of individual show creators. We welcome creative ideas and music from all genres and parts of the world.
Why the name Sound Bricks?
The Lennon Wall (also the name of AAU’s Student Magazine) is a famous landmark located in close proximity to our campus in the Mala Straná district of Prague. This once ordinary wall has become a colorful and global symbol for peace and freedom of thought built upon the outspoken voices of young people. We at Sound Bricks view those voices as the bricks that built the Lennon Wall.

Take the course: Digital Audio and Redefining Radio
Students in the School of Journalism, Media, and Visual Arts who are enrolled in this course, occupy the radio station for the given semester and become the main producers of Sound Bricks programming and content.
