Each month, come to Café Des Taxis to have a drink and discussion with your professors and other experts about important events happening in the world. Share your questions and your views, and join the long tradition of politics in the pub.

The topic of migration and migrants has been at the center of elections and referendums throughout the West over the last few years. What are the causes of migration? Can we better understand the long-term implications of the recent ‚crisis‘ in Europe by comparing historical mobility across Europe and North America? How have large population transfers changed receiving societies in the past, and does knowledge of those transformations allow us to draw conclusions or even policy suggestions for movements in this technological age? Come discuss these questions, and ask your own.

The lead professor will be Tony Mikes, AAU Lecturer on Global Migration.
