The Visegrad Project: Call for Papers
As part of its ongoing research grant awarded by the International Visegrad Fund, Anglo-American University is announcing a call for papers for participation in the international Colloquium “Comparing Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic: Alternative Leadership Styles in the V4”.
What is the Project?
The project addresses two questions: What has the response been to the COVID pandemic among the V4 leaders?; and How can an adaptive leadership approach better aid the V4 societies to navigating the health and societal effects of this and future pandemics? The team’s approach will be interdisciplinary in terms of sources, theories and methods.
Call for Papers
The goal of the Colloquium is to share the results, experience, and feedback of the project team with a large expert and interested audience, to provide a forum for the exchange of views, and stimulate discussion. The project team members will present the results of their research, the latest experience with the monitored issues and their ideas for future work. The presentations of registered papers and discussion of participants will open further perspectives and raise questions for consideration and examination. The Colloquium will be recorded, and the recording and other materials from the Colloquium will be published on the project’s website. Proposed papers should be focused on the Visegrad 4 states and discuss aspects relevant to one or more states’ Covid response and/or crisis leadership style. The call is open to scholars, academics, and students.
The Colloquium will be held on November 25-26th, 2022, and is hosted by the Anglo-American University via Zoom.
Interested participants should email an abstract of their paper (max 300 words) to George Hays II (george.hays@aauni.edu) by September 30, 2022. Decisions on acceptance will be emailed by October 31, 2022.
