Martina Freitagová

Lecturer, School of Journalism, Media and Visual Arts

Martina Freitagová is an art theoretician and consultant. She gained her work experience at the Marketing and Press Departments at the V&A Museum in London, Christie's London and the State Art Collections in Dresden, Germany. In the Czech Republic, she acted as the Head of Communications for the Galerie Rudolfinum (2015-2018).

Martina organises the art competition for secondary school students called ‘Do You Have a Knack for Art?’ and cooperates on the film festival Film and Architecture. She contributes to various magazines on contemporary art and organises debates on art in English called ‘Let’s Talk About Art’.

Martina earned a BA in Marketing Communications and PR from the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and an MA in Art History at the University College London (UCL), United Kingdom. As part of her studies, she took part in an exchange programme on Media Communications in Hong Kong.
