Room 2.07

Jiří Kinkor, author, editor, publisher, and intellectual, will give a lecture in room 2.07 on February 12, 2024, at 6 pm, titled “Why Do We Lose Our Battle for Freedom and Capitalism?”.

In the course of this hour-long lecture, Kinkor will posit a number of critical propositions:

  • Freedom as a necessary condition. Freedom is not an end, but a means to an end. What then is the proper end?
  • The conflict between capitalism and socialism is fundamentally philosophical, not political.
  • What we face is a wholesale destruction of our concepts.
  • What is actually required is an intellectual, revolutionary war, not a superficial, political battle.

A formal Q & A will follow along with a period of relaxed discussion and mingling

The lecture is open to students, alumni, and the public and promises to offer much food for thought.
