As part of the upcoming Moving Center Literary Festival, AAU will host “These Tensions are Alive”, a screening of three documentaries, on April 4, 2024, from 2:30 pm to approximately 9 pm, in room 2.07.

The documentaries and their contents are as follows:

  • Language Matters, an exploration of vanishing languages by Bob Holman
  • H*ART ON, a series of interviews with contemporary international artists, looking at both the ephemerality and residue of human life
  • Am I Czech?, a short documentary by Chuck Diesal looking at the experience of dark-skinned Czechs and how they feel accepted or ostracized in the current social environment

Each film will be followed by a Q & A with the respective film maker.

The Festival is organized by the Moving Center Foundation and promotes creative exchange between cultural institutions, writers, and readers across Central Europe and beyond. With readings, panel discussions and workshops, it is aimed at anyone with an an interest in the beauty and power of the written word.
