Professors in the Pub: Challenging the World Order
Each month, come to Café Des Taxis to have a drink and discussion with professors and other experts about important events happening in the world. Share your questions and your views, and join the long tradition of politics in the pub.
This month:
Full-scale war has returned to the European continent. What had been considered a relic of the past has returned with a shocking blow. This war is as much a question of geography as it is cultures and values. Economics, trade, food, and energy have quickly emerged as important components in both fighting as well as expanding the damage of the war. What does Russia’s war in Ukraine tell us about the West, the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the post-Cold War order? How should we view international relations after such aggression? What does it mean for the broader world order and conflicts in other parts of the world?
Come discuss these questions and ask your own! The lead professor will be David Erkomaishvili, Lecturer of post-Soviet Security at the Department of Security Studies, Charles University.
