Industry Insider with Erica Carlino
Some lessons cannot be taught in a classroom but only through real-life experiences, and so with much reason we are excited to hear Erica Carlino’s story and advice. Since graduating from her masters at AAU in 2008, Erica Carlino has been devoted to social work, human rights and gender equality, academically and professionally.
She has worked with the UN, The Campaign School at Yale, Girls Learn International, Permata Art Foundation, and the Institute of International Relations, Prague. Her academic experiences span both sides of the Pacific: she taught at Charles University here in Prague, was a research assistant at Columbia University, and was Doctoral Student Research Assistantship at Fordham University where she completed her PhD. Today, she is a UN NGO Representative in New York.
In this session, Erica will share her career story and her professional development advice. Discussion and questions will be moderated by AAU’s Career Development Specialist, Elizabeth Novacek.
