2x Book Launch: AAU in the Time of COVID/Leadership in the Time of COVID

AAU will host a double book launch for Leadership in the Time of COVID: Pandemic Responses in Central Europe and AAU in the Time of COVID, 2020-2022: Alma Mater Semper Viva. These pioneering volumes, edited by university faculty members, document AAU life and governmental response during the COVID pandemic.

Leadership in the Time of COVID, edited by AAU professors George Hays II, Joshua M. Hayden, and Milada Polišenská and published by Central European University Press, represents a massive collaboration between multiple academic institutions across Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Czechia who each contributed their research findings.

The project was funded through the prestigious International Visegrad Fund and examines how the governments of each of these countries reacted to the COVID crisis, while examining how leadership could better adapt to manage the impact of similar challenges in the future.

AAU in the Time of COVID, edited by Professor Polišenská and AAU graduate Adiya Ashirova and published by AAU, serves as a fascinating document of life at AAU during the pandemic and features recollections by faculty, staff, and students who lived through the experience.
