AAU Open Lectures: The Good, Bad, & Ugly—the Digital World
This time around: “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly—the Digital World”
When: March 20, 2024, 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Where: in Room 2.07
As computing capacity and the sophistication of AI increase exponentially, a brave new world unfolds before us, one replete with both opportunities and threats. We can resist it, fear it, or leverage it to our advantage, but one thing’s for certain: there’s no stopping it.
Dr. Milan Šlapák, CEO of RSBC Investment, will share his thoughts on what to expect from this brave new world and how we might best prepare for it. With more than 20 years of managerial experience in the corporate realm, including work within the multinational conglomerate General Electric (GE), where he led projects in the field of digitization, and similar professional experience garnered in France, Italy, and China, Šlapák is well versed in matters digital.
But don’t take our word for it. Come and hear for yourself. Expand your knowledge. Equip yourself. Prepare for the digital future.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Every fortnight (give or take) during the semester, AAU hosts a lecturer to come and shed light on current affairs, a global issue, or some otherwise fascinating topic. Speakers are subject matter experts, chosen for their demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide the audience with stimulating and useful information. And these open lectures are just that: open. That means students, alumni, and the general public—anybody and everybody is welcome!
