Courses taught
As a Career Development Specialist, Julie works directly with students assisting them with professional development. Students can contact her for recommendations on CVs, cover letters, interview techniques, and other issues related to job and internship searches. She can help students clarify their professional goals and identify areas where their skills can blossom. Julie is the instructor of the Internship Course.
Julie has over 10 years of background in international education from CERGE-EI, Prague where she was engaged in career counseling, alumni relations, and student recruitment. Before relocating to Prague, she worked as International Business Consultant in Helsinki and St. Petersburg and as Internship Coordinator in the Economics Department of St. Petersburg State University where she gained her Ph.D. in Economics degree. Thanks to her own study abroad experience in high school and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, USA, and experience of finding a job as a foreigner, she can relate to students’ challenges and consult them with a deep understanding of their concerns.
