Martina Freitagová

Martina Freitagová is an art promoter and theoretician, who gained her work experience at the Marketing and Press Departments at the V&A Museum in London, Christie’s London and the State Art Collections Dresden, Germany. In the Czech Republic, she acted as the Head of Communications for the Galerie Rudolfinum. 

Martina currently works as curator of the Film and Architecture festival and is part of the educational platform Do You Have a Knack for Art? (Máš umělecké střevo?). She contributes to various magazines on contemporary art and enjoys translating and editing of exhibition catalogs. Her passion for art culminated in publishing an art textbook Why Art? and experimental stories on architecture called Fables & Constructions. 

Martina earned her BA in Marketing Communications and PR from the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and MA in History of Art at the University College London (UCL), United Kingdom.
