Description | The main goal of this course is to bring together the knowledge acquired throughout the course of your studies to write a good bachelor’s thesis. This course is conducted as “independent study”, individual work with your advisor – specialist in the chosen area – with an aim to develop your thesis proposal (final project of the Thesis Seminar course) into a full-fledged thesis. Throughout the course, your advisor will give step-by-step (chapter-by-chapter) guidance on theory and its application, structuring of chapters and logic of arguments made. You advisor will also help you with orientation in topic-relevant literature and primary sources such as media, public or archival/historical data. |
Learning Outcomes | Applied Theory Theses: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: – Demonstrate their ability to put together a cohesive and wholesome research design; – Demonstrate their understanding of theory; – Demonstrate application of theory to case(s) on the appropriate BA level; – Support their argumentation with relevant evidence and proper reference to sources; – Comprehensively communicate their findings in written form. Historical Theses: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: – Demonstrate their ability to put together a historical study reflecting on the context/position from which it is written; – Demonstrate their ability to keep in line of the chosen historical approach; – Demonstrate historical accuracy; – Support their argumentation with relevant evidence and proper reference to sources; – Comprehensively communicate their findings in written form. |
