Description | This course aims at introducing students to the main topics in language learning and bilingualism and to the main approaches to the study of developmental psychology. The course covers the main aspects of childhood cognitive development from birth to primary school, such as social and emotional development, linguistic development and the creation and storage of memories. |
Learning Outcomes | Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: -Understand the main steps in the development of a child -Master the main theories regarding language learning and bilingualism -Analyze critically scientific literature attaining to language learning and bilingualism -Hold an informed conversation on the topic of language learning and bilingualism |
