Description | The course aims at introducing the students to the main issues explored by the leading thinkers of the modern British and American philosophical traditions in order to explore the most characteristic strands of the Anglo-American thought and so to understand its uniqueness, as well as its tremendous contribution to the global civilization at the turn of the millennium. |
Learning Outcomes | Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: – Comprehend the ideas of the seminal thinkers of the Anglo-American philosophical tradition; – Understand and analyse the basic concepts, ideas and problems relevant to the study of the Anglo-American thought; – Have improved their analytical, argumentative, and writing skills. |
