Bring a Friend Referral Program

AAU offers a reward of up to 1500 USD to any current student, alumnus, or faculty member for every full-time, degree-seeking student who enrolls at AAU based on their recommendation. This may be accomplished by encouraging friends, family, and associates to explore AAU’s programs or by visiting local high schools to speak directly with students and counselors.

Please note, the reward in its current amount will be available until September 2025. Referred students must enroll for either the spring 2025 or fall 2025 semester.

Eligibility Criteria

For the referring party to be eligible, the following conditions must be met:

  • Referring party must have completed at least one semester at AAU, or be an alumnus or faculty member.
  • On the AAU application form, the referred student should specify the referring student/alumni’s/faculty full name and student ID in the “How did you hear about AAU?” fields.
  • If the referral is based on a high school visit, the visit should have occurred within the last 18 months and been coordinated with AAU’s Recruitment Office. In this case, the referred student must mention the visit in the “How did you hear about AAU” section.

Reward Disbursement

Upon conclusion of the add/drop period for the referred student’s first semester, the recipient may choose to apply the reward in one of the following ways:

  • Allocate the specified gift amount to cover tuition fees (applicable for current students).
  • Obtain a voucher equivalent to the gift amount for purchases on Amazon.com, Amazon.de, or Amazon.co.uk (applicable to both current students, alumni, and faculty).
  • Donate it to the AAU scholarship fund to support current AAU students (applicable to alumni and faculty)

Gift Adjustment Note

Should the referred student register for fewer than five classes, the gift amount will be reduced by 300 USD for each class not taken.

Please note: If you are a recipient of the Odyssey 44 Scholarship, you are not eligible for the Bring a Friend Referral Program.
